چکیده
Background: Nowadays there is a problem related to wastewater handling which released from different activities. Electrocoagulation has been dominant treatment method for treatment. There are forms of electrocoagulation methods Nevertheless, was no comparison made the removal efficiency sono-alternate current (SAC), alternate (AC), sono-direct (SDC), and direct (DC) process. Methods: The compared color turbidity Jimma University domestic wastewater. Batch reactor DC/AC cell used determine efficiency. During comparison, response surface methodology (RSM) analyze optimize data taken laboratory. In addition, ANOVA interaction effects parameters. Results: about 97.53% 95.28% respectively, using (DCE). For (ACE), 98.35% 96.12%, respectively. sono-DCE (SDCE) obtained be 98.55% 98.27%, respectively sono-ACE (SACE), 99.95% 99.76%, at optimum experimental conditions chemical oxygen demand (COD) 960 g/L, initial pH 6.8, density 0.4 A/dm2 , inter-terminal spacing 1 cm, association electrode Al-Al. Conclusion: According findings this study, it can concluded that, SAC best promising technique with all other methods.

15 صفحه اولInvestigation of the electro-coagulation treatment process for the removal of total suspended solids and turbidity from municipal wastewater.
In this work, raw municipal wastewater was electro-coagulated for the removal of total suspended solids (TSS), turbidity, and particulate BOD using stainless steel electrodes. The removal efficiency of TSS and turbidity is shown to depend on the amount of iron generated from the anode of the reactive electrode used in this study, when applying the lower currents of 0.05 A and 0.1A. For such low...
متن کاملApplication of Chemical Coagulation Process for Direct Dye Removal from Textile Wastewater
Introduction: Since some dyes and their metabolites have toxicity and carcinogenicity potential, and are dangerous to the health of different living creatures, discharge of untreated wastewaters containing large concentrations of dye compounds into water resources is one of the important environmental problems. Therefore, in this research, the efficiency of chemical coagulation process was inve...

15 صفحه اولInvestigation of Electro-coagulation Process for Phosphate and Nitrate Removal from Sugarcane Wastewaters
Background: Highly-concentrated phosphate and nitrate anions from sugarcane wastewater are often discharged into public waters without standardized treatments. This study assessed the effects of electrical coagulation, initial pH and reaction time in the removal of phosphate and nitrate pollutants. Methods: We used aluminum electrodes to remove the pollutants at Hakhim Farabi Agricultural and ...
